Day 1-2: Jeannette, PA to Melrose, MN

Day 1: May 11, 2003. Left Jeannette at 5:00pm, got to
Toledo, OH around 9:00 pm.  Stayed in Motel 6 due to rain.  Rained all day, strong wind gusts.    Mileage = 257

Day 2: May 12, 2003. Left Toledo OH around 7:00 am.  Drove through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois around Chicago, Wisconsin and got to Melrose, MN just past St. Cloud around 7:00pm.  Camped in Birch Lakes State Forest CG where some strange animal woke us up in our campsite with funny breathing.  Gained an hour driving.  Got through Chicago without difficulty due to arrival around 10:00 AM but hit rush hour in Minneapolis at 5:00.  Ate fresh wisonsin cheese curds.  Sit down lunch, cooked dinner at the CG.  Windy most of drive with gusts up to 40mph continued from yesterday.   Mileage = 765.
